Great powerpoint. One thing I would suggest - as well as comparing to Kowhaiwhai (as the local artform in Aotearoa) maybe look at Niuean hiapo? Because I know this influenced Pule - he even edited a book about it (which we have in our library). Also, I personally think he has been influenced by rongorongo script from Easter Island. So there are a range of Polynesian influences in his work.
