JOHN PULE TERM2 WEEK 1 context and form.

John Pule is considered one of New Zealand’s most respected artists, evident by his inclusion in the following collections: Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, Auckland; Auckland Museum, Auckland; Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand, Wellington; Chartwell Trust Collection, Auckland; Wellington High Court, Wellington; Manukau City Council, Auckland and Robert McDougall Art Gallery, Christchurch, Victoria University, Wellington.

Pule explained:

“I just wanted to write about growing up in New Zealand, and about being the youngest of 17 kids and about migration—but I wasn’t sure how to organize ideas, so I just started writing.” This Quote means that this is how John Pule explain his Art by drawing, a lot of mysterious patterns and symbols in his Artwork and makes our eyes see many different things in his Art of life.

  1. Hi Matalio,

If you're doing week one's Content and Form, you need to post an image from your essay, and then talk about what that image means, or is about. Can you do that about John Pule? Not copy and paste paragraphs about him, but analyse one of his paintings.
